Angel City FC Names IILA as 2026 “Immigrant City FC” Beneficiary

Published On: May 30, 2026

International Institute of Los Angeles (IILA) is proud to announce that we have been selected as the official nonprofit beneficiary of Angel City FC’s 2026 “Immigrant City Football Club” (ICFC) campaign—a year-long platform dedicated to honoring the immigrant communities that have shaped Los Angeles into the vibrant, diverse city it is today. The partnership was officially unveiled at Angel City’s home match on Saturday, May 2, at BMO Stadium, with IILA staff present on the field and in the stands to celebrate the milestone, alongside players, club leadership, and thousands of enthusiastic fans.

A Momentous Night at BMO Stadium

The May 2 announcement was a celebration in every sense of the word. Two members of the IILA staff were welcomed onto the field and joined in Angel City FC’s “3 Clap” cheer as the team officially revealed the partnership, symbolizing the club’s deep commitment to immigrant rights and community solidarity. Joining in the stands were nearly one hundred IILA staff, community partners, friends, and family members—all united by a shared belief in the power of belonging. The energy inside the stadium reflected what Immigrant City FC stands for: a community that shows up for one another.

About the Immigrant City FC Campaign

Immigrant City Football Club is Angel City FC’s ongoing platform built on the simple but powerful message: “Los Angeles is for Everyone.” What began as an act of solidarity with Los Angeles’ immigrant communities during a period of heightened uncertainty has grown into a year-round campaign designed to uplift, connect, and mobilize. The 2026 ICFC collection—featuring the phrase “Los Angeles is for Everyone” printed on the back of its signature shirt in 13 of the most widely spoken languages across LA County, including Spanish, Mandarin, Armenian, Arabic, Tagalog, Yoruba, and Zapotec—is more than apparel. It is a wearable declaration of community.

All net proceeds from the ICFC collection benefit IILA directly, funding the critical services that IILA provides to immigrants and refugees across Los Angeles County.

Why IILA

For over a century, International Institute of Los Angeles has stood as a pillar of support for immigrant and refugee communities throughout Southern California. From legal immigration services and naturalization assistance to employment support and community integration programs, IILA walks alongside individuals and families as they build new lives in Los Angeles. Being chosen as the ICFC beneficiary is a recognition not only of IILA’s work, but of the communities we serve—communities that are, and have always been, fundamental to what makes Los Angeles extraordinary.

“We are deeply honored to be chosen as Angel City FC’s Immigrant City FC beneficiary for 2026,” said IILA President and CEO, Cambria Tortorelli. “This partnership amplifies a message we have carried for generations: that immigrants and refugees are not only welcome in Los Angeles—they are Los Angeles.”

One piece of the mural was lent to IILA the week leading up to the May 2nd campaign announcement. The full mural reads “LOS ANGELES IS FOR EVERYONE” and was unveiled at BMO Stadium along with the campaign to celebrate what community means in Los Angeles and all people who Angelenos call family.
