International Institute of Los Angeles (IILA) has played a prominent role in supporting new arrivals to Southern California with every major refugee and immigrant wave since our founding in 1914. For over a century, we have offered a wide range of services to help refugees and immigrants achieve self-sufficiency and thrive. We also expanded our programming over the decades to meet changing needs by including immigration legal services, resettlement of refugees and asylum applicants, support for survivors of human trafficking, free or low-cost child care, and transportation assistance. As we celebrate our 110th anniversary, this milestone is not just a reflection of our past achievements but a crucial moment to highlight the ongoing importance of our work.
